Learn More About How We Are Navigating The New Normal (COVID19 Community Update)
Venture X Canada is committed to making a positive contribution to the communities in which it operates its co-working facilities. This is especially important during these trying times.
To that end, Venture X is proud to provide much needed relief to some of those most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. On March 30, 2021, Venture X Canada Partner and COO Anas Saltaji donated $10,000 to the #LTCfrontlinefood campaign led by Paramount Fine Foods.
As part of the campaign, Mr. Saltaji cooked and delivered 115 meals alongside Paramount Fine Foods CEO Mohamad Fakih to the Extendicare Canada long-term care facility in Brampton.
“It’s important to show our support and appreciation to our frontline workers by this small act of kindness of delivering meals to long-term healthcare workers during such a difficult time. They are putting themselves at risk by taking care of our seniors, and our coworking community appreciates and recognizes their hard work,” said Mr. Saltaji.
The #LTCfrontlinefood campaign provides thousands of hot meals to SEIU Healthcare members working in long-term care facilities in Ontario, many of whom have been struggling financially and emotionally. These frontline workers, and the seniors they care for, have been among the most vulnerable populations during this crisis.
COVID-19 continues to hinder life in Ontario, with the province in another lockdown and the rolling seven-day average of new cases at 2,758. Venture X Canada Foundation has been actively supporting the GTA community through charitable donations and relief efforts and will continue to do so in the future.
In addition to its ongoing Covid relief efforts, Venture X is also an active community partner through its Venture X Canada Foundation. Venture X Canada Foundation was founded to contribute to the education of youth and technological development in Canada. According to Mr. Saltaji, “we believe education is a main pillar of our great country and has a significant, positive impact on society. The foundation recognizes diligent government efforts in this area, and will provide support towards achieving outstanding educational standards through donations for various programs and technologies.”
To date, the foundation has donated to multiple charities and initiatives including Peel’s Peel Youth Village, The Trillium Health Partners Foundation, Peel District School Board, Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC), The Mississauga Food Bank and Lebanon Strong.
